INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz The Great Gentleman Tonic Water
- 2 ½ oz Cirka Gin Sauvage
- ½ oz Star anis & cinnamon syrup
- ¾ oz grapefruit juice
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
- 3 cups water
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 4 star anises
- 1 orange wedge
RECIPE
To make the cinnamon & star anise syrup: Add 3 cups of water and 3 cups sugar to a saucepan. Add 2 sticks of cinnamon and 3 star anises. Boil and let simmer over medium heat for a couple of minutes. Let cool until room temperature and strain. Pour the gin and the cinnamon & star anise syrup in a rocks glass. Add ice. Float the grapefruit juice over ice. Add the Tonic Water. Top if off with the dashes of Angostura bitters. Garnish with 1 cinnamon stick, 1 star anis and an orange wedge.
