TYPE OF GLASS
- 3 oz The Great Gentleman Tonic Water
- ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz Pimm's
- 1 ½ oz Bombay Gin
- ¾ oz homemade beet and ginger syrup
- Cucumber and lemon slices
- INGREDIENTS FOR THE HOMEMADE BEET AND GINGER SYRUP:
- 250 ml fresh beet juice
- 750 ml fresh ginger juice
- 1L white sugar
Start by filling the wine glass with ice. Add fresh cucumber and lemon slices using garnish tongs. Place them against the glass to see them nicely. In a shaker, combine all ingredients except the syrup and The Great Genteman Tonic Water. Add ice and shake thoroughly. Fine strain the cocktail gently over the glass and top with Tonic Water. Gently pour the syrup in your cocktail by using the back your bar spoon to ensure a beautiful colour mix. Garnish with a bouquet of fresh mint.
OPTIONAL: HOMEMADE BEET AND GINGER SYRUP
You can also purchase syrups at any specialized cocktail store.
Once the beets and ginger have been washed and peeled, juice each ingredient individually until the desired amount is obtained. Add 1L of white sugar to the beet and ginger juice mixture and mix well.
